摘要:
大学英语课程教学培养学生的英语综合应用能力,满足学习者对英语技能以及社会对英语人才的需求。调查发现,普通工科院校大学生学习英语主要是为了通过考试并顺利就业;社会职场对普通工科院校大学毕业生的英语技能要求主要是"读写"。学习者及社会英语需求为普通工科院校大学英语课程确定个性化教学内容提供了重要依据。
Abstract:
To meet learners' demand for English skills and satisfy social demands for English talents,college English teaching aims to develop students' all-round English abilities.This empirical study finds that engineering students learn English mainly for passing examinations and social employments,and the demands of workplaces are reading and writing skills.The demands both of students and workplaces are main references to decide the individualized contents of English teaching in engineering colleges.
