通过问卷和听写水平测试,调查了某本科院校英语专业二年级学生专四听写中的听力策略使用情况,并将所得数据运用SPSS16.0进行分析:(1)随机抽取125名学生作为调查对象,用描述性统计得出听写中各项听力策略使用的平均数和标准差,调查显示,学生急需得到有关听力策略使用的指导和训练,以充分发挥听力策略对听写的指导作用;(2)以三篇听写真题对被试进行随堂测试,并以测试成绩为依据选取前30名与后30名作为高、低分组,用独立样本T检验比较两组听力策略使用的异同,发现两组在注意力集中、抓中心意和关键词、预测、控制焦虑等八个方面呈现显著性差异。建议在平常听写训练中采用与听写成绩显著正相关的听力策略。
Abstract:
Dictation in TEM 4 can reflect quite accurately the learner's general language proficiency,ability and knowledge. However,the results of dictation in TEM 4 over the years have been far from satisfaction. The thesis reports an empirical study on the listening strategy employed by the English majors in TEM 4 dictation. The subjects were 125 sophomore English majors from a university,and the instruments included a questionnaire and three dictation tests. Detailed analysis of the quantitative data by SPSS16.0 has yielded the findings as follows:(1)descriptive statistics employed,such as means and standard deviations,reveal that students are in urgent need of training and practice on listening strategy.(2)the scores of three dictation tests were taken as measurement to classify the proficient and less proficient groups. Then independent samples T-tests were carried out with a view to detecting the salient differences between the two. Significant differences were found to exist between the two groups with respect to eight aspects such as keeping concentrating attention,catching key word and central theme,etc. It is suggested that the positive listening strategies should be encouraged and fostered in dictation practice.
