摘要:
魏斐德是美国著名的中国史和上海史研究专家,但他也曾涉足毛泽东研究领域。魏斐德之所以涉足毛泽东研究,主要是与当时如火如荼的文化大革命、与纪念其刚去世不久的导师列文森以及发现了与毛泽东相关的新史料等因素有关。魏斐德的毛泽东研究具有与众不同的研究视角、独特的研究方法、鲜明的列文森范式等显著特点。也正因为魏斐德毛泽东研究方法的独特,他的毛泽东研究著作在美国学界备受争议。魏斐德的毛泽东研究启示我们,虽然中西方学者在研究视角、问题意识研究方法和基本结论等方面存在差异,但正是通过对相异观点与方法的了解、分析、批判和借鉴,将刺激我们的学术自省意识,进一步推动对毛泽东及其思想研究的学术事业。
Abstract:
Frederic E.Wakeman is a famous American specialist on Chinese history and history of Shanghai.But he is also involved in the study of MAO Zedong,which is related to the Great Cultural Revolution,commemorating Levinson,his tutor,who just passed away,and the discovery of new historical material related to MAO Zedong.He has a unique research perspective and research method,with clear Levineson's paradigm,etc.Based on Wakeman's research methods on MAO Zedong,his works on MAO Zedong in the U.S.A are controversial.Wakeman's study on MAO Zedong tells us that there are differences between Western and Chinese scholars in the study perspective,awareness of problem,research methods and basic conclusions,but understanding the different perspectives and methods,analysis,criticism,reference,and absorbing beneficial nutritional can stimulate our academic self-reflection consciousness,and further promote the academic study of MAO Zedong the man and MAO Zedong's Thought.
