霍华德·津恩是美国著名左翼历史学家和社会评论家。终其一生,津恩的目光始终关注着"人民"这个美国社会最广大也是最无助的群体,他的著述基本上也是围绕着这一主题展开的。《美国人民史》是津恩的一部扛鼎之作,也是新左派史学家的代表作之一。津恩还是一位著名的民权斗士和反战斗士。研究津恩一类人物及其思想,并不仅仅在于了解他们本身,更重要的是有助于全面认识美国的历史与现在,全面认识美国的政治、经济、文化与社会。
Abstract:
Howard Zinn is a well-known US left-wing historian and social critic.Throughout his entire life,he always focuses on “people” who are the most numerous and most defenseless groups.His writings are basically around this theme.The History of the American People by Howard Zinn is a prominent works,and it is also one of the representative works of the new left historians.He is a famous fighter for civil rights and an anti-war fighter.Researching such persons as Howard Zinn and their thought is not only to understand themselves,what is more,it can help us to gain a full understanding of American history and current situation,as well as its politics,economy,culture and society.
