摘要:
爱德华·阿尔比的《山羊,或谁是西尔维娅?》是一则有关“人兽关系”的道德寓言。“人兽乱伦”揭示了人类斯芬克斯因子的存在及其复杂性:“人性因子”和“兽性因子”相互交锋与转变,展现了理性意志、自由意志和非理性意志之间的伦理冲突。援引文学伦理学批评,紧扣“人兽乱伦”这一核心事件,剖析戏剧人物道德情感与自然情感的冲突与转变,以此窥见作家的伦理情怀:通过书写非道德的“人兽乱伦”,作为一则有关现代社会人类自然情感泛滥的道德寓言,以期唤起人们对道德情感的重视及伦理秩序的维护。
Abstract:
Edward Albee’s The Goat,or Who Is Sylvia? is a moral fable of “the relationship between human and animals”.In this play,the incest between man and animal reveals the existence of Sphinx Factor in human mind and its complexity:the clash and transformation of human factor and animal factor demonstrate the ethical conflicts among rational will,free will and irrational will.This paper cites Ethical Literary Criticism and seizes the core event about the incest between man and animal tightly,and through the anatomy of the clash and transformation between moral emotion and natural emotion in characters’ minds,the paper can get a glimpse of writer’s ethical feelings:by writing an immoral story of incest between man and animal as one of moral fables about the overflow of modern human’s natural emotion,the writer tries to arouse people’s attention toward the moral emotion and maintenance toward the ethical order.
